After graduating in Literature from Sheffield University and completing a secretarial  course,  my   first   job  was  as  PA  to  a  literary   agent  in  London.
I returned to the north two years later and joined Lucas Automotive as a PA and within a few months I was asked to move into HR.

I spent the next six years as HR Officer and then HR Manager at Lucas and later with the Kingfisher group. I then moved even further north, returned to PA work and spent four years with an investment management company and six  years with Parthenon Medical Communications. Both were small companies where I was closely involved in every aspect of the business, including the development of an international conference management division at Parthenon. More recently I was PA to the Marketing Director of a holiday company.

I have contributed to Executive PA and other professional magazines on a range of subjects but particularly with regard to HR and recruitment issues.

Where appropriate, I work with specialists in other fields and all partners are rigorously checked to ensure they meet my own high standards.
